Do It Yourself: Integrating Creating Personalized Objects Into Sandtray Therapy

It seems like you have PLENTY of ways for a client to express themselves....but they can never find that PERFECT symbol! We know that we will always have enough of everything while also needing more however that can prove to be an impossible standard sometimes. This workshop will be a hands-on exploration of materials to guide clients in creating their very own personal symbols for play and sandtray use. The theoretical underpinnings behind material use and how to incorporate seamlessly into services will be shared. Participants will leave with a bevvy of experiential activities and their very own symbolic creations. This workshop will focus on the prescriptive model of play therapy, as well as delve into the Expressive Therapies Continuum and Media Dimension Variables.  This workshop will provide 6 CONTACT APT CE's (6 CE's Skills & Methods) 6 NBCC Hours and 6 FL LMHC, LMFT & LCSW CEU's.
